For this project I sought to give this local non-profit art house theater a fresh look, while incorporating the feel of classic cinema and performance theater entertainment. The re-brand includes a logo and combination mark, an animation, and prototype design for mobile and desktop sites.
The logo was inspired by the process of film feeding though a projector mixed with the initial C.
My Font choices were influenced by silent film titles and typography in Victorian theater posters, while still maintaining a modern feeling.
The colors, textures, and motifs throughout the designs are representative of physical film process and theater, such as film grain, film burn, and light leak Victorian illustration, and decorative flourishes.
Theses elements embrace the art of cinema in creation and experience and demonstrates an appreciation for the art form's history and future that the Cinematique brings to it's members and patrons out of passion for the medium.
